Angela Parziale, CPA, MST, came to work at Walter & Shuffain immediately after graduating from Suffolk University with a BS in business administration. After starting with us, she completed her Master of Science in Taxation.
When Walter & Shuffain introduced the Shareholder-in-Training program five years ago, Angela’s exceptional level of performance made her a natural choice for participation. Following her successful completion of the three year program, she was made a shareholder. Angela now specializes in commercial and residential real estate.
Angela oversees audits, reviews and tax work for clients in the commercial real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, wholesale and professional service industries. With extensive experience in both generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and tax engagements, Angela is adept at servicing business and personal interests at the highest level.
Since starting with Walter & Shuffain, Angela has established herself a true team player and nurturing leader, making herself readily available to staff members who are rising within the company, just as she did. As treasurer and member of the board of directors of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and the CREW Educational Foundation, Angela is particularly encouraging of women in her field. Angela was the 2012 recipient of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs (MSCPA) Women to Watch Award for Emerging Leadership, and the 2014 recipient of the CREW Achievement Award in Professional Services. Angela was also appointed to be the Chair of the MA Board of Public Accountancy for 2021.
Angela and her husband have three young children and enjoy family trips to Plymouth, MA and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Visits to Parziale’s Bakery, the 105-year-old North End landmark that her husband and his family run, are a favorite way for the entire extended family to spend time together.
Angela is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is the Chair of the MA Board of Public Accountancy for 2021.
