Joe is a director in Walter & Shuffain’s tax department where he works with closely-held businesses and their owners, and high-net-worth individuals. He works with clients in a wide variety of industries including: real estate, manufacturing, wholesale, private equity, construction and professional services. With more than three decades of experience in accounting, all of them with W&S, Joe is able to offer our clients comprehensive advice in tax planning and compliance services with a focus on corporate, partnership and individual taxation.
Joe majored in accounting at Boston University and graduated with a BS in business administration. Upon completing his degree, he joined Tobin & Waldstein, which merged with W&S in 1995. Joe is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
Joe and his wife have three children, a son and two daughters. Joe has coached youth baseball since 1996, and has served as treasurer of his local league for eight years. He is also currently serving on his local Pop Warner league’s board of directors. Joe enjoys watching the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtic and Bruins (“in that order”). He also plays fantasy football and golfs whenever time allows.
