Jonathan O. Yorks
Jonathan serves as Managing Shareholder for Walter & Shuffain. His areas of accounting and tax experience include the real estate, construction, high tech, life sciences, wholesale distribution, private equity and manufacturing industries. Jonathan provides our larger clients with consulting services in tax and estate planning.
Angela came to work at Walter & Shuffain immediately after graduating from Suffolk University with a BS in Business Administration. After starting with us, she completed her Master of Science in Taxation. Angela now specializes in commercial and residential real estate.
Jonathan C. Hitter
Jon leads Walter & Shuffain’s technology and employee benefit plan auditing services. With 20 years of experience – much of it in financial statement compliance for privately-held middle market companies in the technology, manufacturing and real estate fields – Jon is an invaluable member of our team.
Burt is the director of real estate services at Walter & Shuffain. He is a past chairman of Alliott Group North America, a worldwide alliance of independent accounting, law and consulting firms, where he also served on its Worldwide Board of Directors.
Eric M. Gashin
Eric began his career at Walter & Shuffain immediately after graduating from Bentley University with his BS in accounting in 1999. While working with the firm, he went on to earn his MBA from Babson College in 2007.
Richard J. Eckstein
Rick serves as Walter & Shuffain’s director of tax services. He began his career in accounting 36 years ago with Coopers & Lybrand in Chicago where he worked on audits with large, well-known companies such as Jockey and State Farm Fire & Casualty. He joined Walter & Shuffain in 1994.
David J. Cooper
David has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting and has worked with closely- held businesses and individuals in a wide range of industries, including: healthcare, real estate development, construction, distribution, fitness, manufacturing, insurance, professional services and retail.
Mark relocated from Washington DC to Boston in 2004 to join the team at Walter & Shuffain where he is now a shareholder. With 15 years of experience in public accounting, tax compliance and financial statement attestation, Mark is able to provide clients with an exemplary level of expertise.
William E. Cooper
Bill became a shareholder at Walter & Shuffain following the merger with Cooper & Company in 2011. Bill works with a wide range of clients, from sole proprietors to high-net-worth individuals and large privately-held corporations, across the Northeast focusing on tax, accounting and business matters.
