Walter & Shuffain ranked the #1 Best Firm for Young Accountants by Accounting Today

Walter & Shuffain has been ranked the #1 Best Firm for Young Accountants from Accounting Today for 2020. The Best Firm for Young Accountants award is determined using the data from employees under 30 years-of-age who completed the Top 100 Best Firms to Work For survey (to which Walter & Shuffain was also named). Accounting Today names 10 firms from the list, with Walter & Shuffain taking the #1 spot for 2020.

“We are thrilled to be named to the 2020 Best Firm for Young Accountants list,” said Walter & Shuffain managing partner, Jonathan Yorks. “We strive to provide a positive and fulfilling career experience for our young accountants, and we’re grateful that they’ve shared their appreciation for our culture in this way.”

Young people under 30 years-of-age make up 44% of Walter & Shuffain’s team, the largest percentage on the list, and voluntary turnover at the firm sits at just 6%.

According to Accounting Today, the Best Firms for Young Accountants must have a minimum of 15 employees under age 30, or 10% of their employee base must be under age 30. Additionally, the survey response rate must be at least 40% for employees under age 30. Firms were then ranked according to the average positive response rate to the survey of employees under 30.
