Judi McDermott is an experienced manager with Walter Shuffain, serving her clients as the primary client contact on all matters. She began her career in accounting in 1986 with Cooper & Company and became a member of Walter Shuffain when the firms merged in 2012. With decades of experience, Judi is adept at applying practical solutions to clients’ accounting, audit and tax needs. She is highly knowledgeable about business operations and the related industries, ranging from real estate, construction and manufacturing to distribution, recreation and technology businesses.

Possessing a natural, approachable personality, Judi has built productive working relationships with clients that have led to clients using more services from Walter Shuffain. Her team management style empowers other professionals to work productively for clients and be individual leaders in their own right. Always adaptable and positive in the face of challenges, Judi is adept at evaluating client work in progress and optimizing team skills and efficiency.

In addition to her client work, Judi actively participates in Walter Shuffain’s annual staff evaluation program, coaching and mentoring team members to be their best.

Judi earned both her bachelor’s degree in accountancy and her Masters in Taxation degree from Bentley University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
