Continually gaining knowledge of real estate tax rules and regulatory changes, Justine helps her clients understand and adapt to change.

Justine Whitehead began her professional career at Walter Shuffain in 2007 after college graduation. She handles a variety of responsibilities at the firm, including general accounting, audits and tax returns. She invests most of her time with clients in the real estate industry, where she has acquired significant experience and expertise navigating complex real estate tax regulations. Justine handles everything from planning and consulting on the tax consequences of real estate sales and like kind exchanges, to transactions with investors and partnership agreements.

Justine is motivated by the deadlines that are the nature of her job. She makes a point of staying in frequent communications with her clients. Knowing that client satisfaction depends on the timely completion of work, Justine is focused on ensuring that all delivery promises are kept.

Dedicated to her continuing professional development, Justine enjoys learning new audit and tax regulations as they evolve each year. She believes that by deepening her knowledge of the rules and changes, she can better serve her clients; giving them a clear understanding of new requirements and enabling them to successfully adapt to changes.

It is possible that accounting is in her DNA. Growing up, math was her favorite subject, and she has always enjoyed puzzles.  When Justine enrolled in her first accounting class in college, she says it just seemed to fit her wheelhouse; she knew that is what she wanted to do.

Justine is a graduate of Stonehill College, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 2006 and a Master of Science in Accountancy degree in 2007. She is a member of the firm’s training committee.
