Professional

Educating clients on upcoming tax law changes and the potential impact to them is how he brings value to business relationships.

Michael works predominantly with the firm’s real estate, professional services and manufacturing clients. By personally engaging with them, he addresses his clients’ accounting issues, improves operating procedures, and prepares financial statements and tax returns for their businesses. Clients depend on him to develop multifaceted, practical solutions, and to help them navigate through today’s complex financial environment to grow their business.

Michael jokes that becoming an accountant was not really a choice, as his father and his uncle—as well as both grandfathers—were Certified Public Accountants. Developing a talent and an appreciation for math at a young age, he enjoys using those skills to help clients maximize their business profits through proper accounting and tax planning.

Prior to relocating to the Boston area, Michael worked in accounting in New York City for more than a decade with Ernst & Young as well as Rosen Seymour Shapss Martin and Co. LLP. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park. Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.

Personal

Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Jessica, as well as their two children and the family’s French bulldog. They reside in Sudbury, where Michael is a member of the town’s Capital Improvement Advisory Committee. An avid athlete, Michael also finds time for golf and basketball, and he coaches for his children’s sports.

My ideal is to continue to be a resource to my clients while also spending as much time as possible with my family, traveling to new places and playing more golf!
